Wilford Davis, 67, of Quincy, FL departed this earthly life on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Tallahassee,
FL. Visitation will be 3pm – 7pm, Friday, November 25, 2022 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL. Funeral
Services will be held 12 noon Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Tabernacle Church of Christ Written In
Heaven, Gretna, FL with burial at Sunnyvale Cemetery, Quincy, FL.
Wilford confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He joined St. Stephens Primitive Baptist
Church and previously served on the usher board. He loved the sound of music. Like most music lovers,
he was always dancing to the beat. He was his own teacher and taught others to play the drums. He
made a joyful noise unto the Lord playing the drums for various groups that included the late John Holt
and the Spiritual Harmonizers; the late Betty Keaton and the Gadstonians; Mary Bush and the Shining
Stars; The Holy Wonders; and many others.
Wilford leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife – Mary Davis of Quincy, FL; children –
Nekittrae Donaldson (Markey) and RaShaude Davis, Sr. of Quincy, FL; bonus daughter – Lynnette Fields
of Tallahassee, FL; siblings – Mary Ann Watkins of Atlanta, GA, Brenda Lindsey Blakely of Tallahassee, FL,
Jewel Jackson (Donald) and Wilbur Davis, Sr. of Quincy, FL, Douglas Davis, Ronnie Davis, Anthony Davis,
and Angie McGhee (Curtis) of Anniston, AL; mother-in-law - Gloria Crews of Quincy, FL; 7 grandchildren;
3 bonus grandchildren; 2 great grands, in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.
