Valerie Janard

Valerie Janard, 85, of Tallahassee, FL, transitioned on May 17, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1939, in New York.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Valarie was a self-employed attorney who earned her law degree from Florida State University in her 40s. She was a devoted member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church, an animal lover, and a spirited adventurer. In 1990, she served as a park ranger in Alaska, and at age 83, traveled to Utah to volunteer with animals. She deeply loved Jesus, the city of Quincy, and her two cats.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Bradwell Memorial Chapel, Quincy, FL. Interment will follow at Tallahassee National Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Stephanie Janard and Laren Mahon; three grandchildren: Austin Mahon, Aubrey Duval, and Sage Bell; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
