Tracy Leandre Jefferson was born May 29, 1972 in Tallahassee, Florida, to Zelma Sykes and Dr.
Richard Jefferson. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior at an early age and was a member
of East Spring Primitive Baptist Church.
Tracy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1990 and went on to further his education at Florida
Agricultural & Mechanical University. He graduated 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in
History.
On June 20, 2015, he joined Quinika Jackson in Holy Matrimony.
Mr. Jefferson was an educator. He taught at Havana Middle School and was an AP History Instructor
at Rickards High School at the time of his passing. Tracy believed in giving back to his community
and helping others. Serving faithfully on the board of the Miracles In Me Foundation for 12 years,
he gave his time, resources and energy to community activities and initiatives. He was a devoted
member of Valentine Lodge #147 Prince Hall Affiliated under the Most Worshipful Union Grand
Lodge Florida, St. James Chapter #26 Holy Royal Arch Masons, Monticello Consistory #331, and
Ahmed Temple #37 Prince Hall Shriners.
Tracy leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife Quinika Jefferson; daughters: Bria
and Brooke Jefferson; parents: Zelma Sykes & Dr. Richard Jefferson (Theresa}; brothers: Ronnie
Thompson (Tishelia), Gary Wright, Aaron Clark, Chacobey Jefferson; Sister: Kidada Jefferson;
mother-in-law: May Bass; brother-in-law Kenneth Jackson; aunts: Alzona Whitehead, Barbara
Harris, & Wanda Hayes (Victor); Uncles: Andrew Jefferson, Cornelius Barnes(Lacrusha), Eddie
James Moore, Gregory Jefferson (Valorie), Michael Jefferson (Tina), Oscar Lee Wilson (Annell),
& Richard Sykes (Patricia); 3 nephews & 3 nieces; godson Noah Footman and a host of loving
family & friends.
