Stephanie Faison

Stephanie Faison, 57, of Gretna, FL, peacefully departed this earthly life on Monday, April 14, 2025, in Gainesville, FL.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of St. James AME Church in Quincy, FL. A proud product of Gadsden County Public Schools, she graduated from James A. Shanks High School and later earned her degree from Florida A&M University. Stephanie honorably served her country in the United States Air Force, retiring after a distinguished military career.

A gifted poet and author, Stephanie was known for her vibrant spirit and infectious joy. She had a magnetic personality and was deeply loved by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at St. James AME Church in Quincy, FL. Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Tallahassee National Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving son, Devon Lyons of Gretna, FL; three siblings, Mashelle Hawkins of Robetha, AL, Shannon Faison of Gretna, FL, and Alnysa Bisbee of Crawfordville, FL; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
