Shadrock Williams

August 20, 1930 ~ October 1, 2021 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Shadrock Williams Obituary

Shadrock Williams (aka S.T.) was born April 23, 1930 to Willie Bowers and Carrie Williams both of whom preceded him in death.  Shadrock was educated through the Jackson County, Florida public school system.

Shadrock was reared along with his siblings by their Mother in the Two Egg community of Jackson County, Florida.  He confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Baptist Church in Two Egg, Florida where he served faithfully until he relocated to Gadsden County, Florida and joined Elizabeth African Methodist Episcopal Church where he served in numerous positions, including The Pastor Stewart, and a Stewart, a Trustee, and a Sunday school member.  Shadrock was a devoted faithful member of his church up until his health started to fail, however he continued to support his church.

Shadrock started out working as a farmer at a young age and farmed up until the late 90’s both in Jackson and Gadsden County.  He also worked at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee as a cook in the General Kitchen where he prepared food for patients and employees. He retired from Florida State Hospital after 35 years of service in 1992.

Shadrock’s leisure time was spent hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Shadrock was preceded in death by his wife Leola Williams, one daughter Ora Lee Williams, and two siblings J. D. Long and Bobbie Spencer.

He leaves to cherish his memories: 4 daughters, Lillie Hall (Joseph), Lizzie Horne (Horace), and Lula Johnson of Greenwood, FL, and Geraldine Pollard of Donaldson, GA ; 5 sons, Shederick Williams Jr. of Clearwater, FL, Keith Williams (Jolene) of Havana, FL, Earl Germany (Deborah), and Charles Germany Sr. (Diane) of Quincy, FL; and Carl Germany (Sondra) of Chattahoochee, FL; 2 sisters, Lillie Barnes (Henry) of Tallahassee, FL, and Inez Smith (James) of Marianna, FL; 31 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren; special nephew, Eddie Carl Barnes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
