It is with deep sorrow and empty hearts we mourn the passing of Mrs. Sadie Mae Bouie of Quincy, Florida,
on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Sadie Bouie was born and raised in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Mr. Jonas Fluitt and Mrs. Hattie
Fluitt. Sadie was a devoted wife of 61 years of marriage to her loving husband Frank. Sadie was a licensed
cosmetologist and a retired forensic treatment specialist with the State of Florida.
Active in her community she served as union steward with AFSCME Union for over 20 years; served with
the American Legion for over 30 years; volunteered with Veteran’s Administration Tallahassee for over
twenty years; traveled with the Gadsden County Retired Teachers Association; as well as serving with local
health initiatives in Gadsden County. Sadie loved to travel with her friends who we lovingly called the
Golden Girls, cooking and entertaining family and friends, as well as spoiling her grandchildren.
Her memory will be cherished by her brother Jonathan Fluitt (Barbara), five children Archie Bouie I, Frank
Bouie, Jr., Laverne Bouie Yates, Loretta Bouie Harris, Lori Bouie, thirteen grandchildren, thirty- three great
grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren and host of loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021, 3:00 pm until 6 pm at Bradwell Mortuary.
The funeral service will be Friday, December 3, 2021, 1:00 pm at Mt. Hosea MB Church, Quincy, Florida.
