Robert was born on January 6, 1948, in Quincy, Florida to the late Robert L. Love, Sr. and Ruth Jones Love. He was preceded in death by his wife Elouise Creal Love. 

Robert was a 1964 graduate of Carter Parramore High School and he attended Florida A&M until he joined the U.S. Army. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. 

His hobbies were playing cards, watching CNN and sports. He enjoyed teaching his children how to drive a manual transmission vehicle (look out for those hills). He was always willing to help the next generation. 

Honoring the memory of Robert L. Love, Jr. are his children: Towanda (Larry) Jones, Quincy, FL and Anthony (Breela) Love, Milton, FL; siblings: Vernon (Diane) Love, Quincy, FL, and Rev. Debra Love, Quincy, FL; six grandchildren: Brooks Moore, Anthony Love, Jr., Arisha Jones, Nicholas Love, Alexander (Alicia) Love, and Bryce Love; two great-grandchildren: Alexander J. Love and Kemauri T. Love; Aunts: Winner Davis, Grace Tribute, Mary Black, Gladys Jones, and Martha Kenon; sisters-in-law: Mildred (Jewel) Dixie, Rev. Evelyn Creal-Wilcox, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
