Deacon Reginald Ray, Sr., 60, of Quincy, FL transitioned from labor to reward Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Quincy, FL. Born and raised in Quincy, FL, Reginald was educated in Gadsden County Public Schools wherein he graduated in 1981 from James A. Shanks High School. Upon graduating from high School, he furthered his studies at Florida A&M University, wherein he participated in the Marching 100. He was known for musical gifts and will entrepreneurial expertise. Having confessed Christ at an early age, Deacon Ray was a devoted member of St. John Church of God in Christ. He served the Church of God in Christ as a Deacon, musician, and as the District Minister of Music.
The celebration of life will be 11:00am, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at St. John Church of God in Christ, Quincy, FL, with burial at McMillan Cemetery, Hannatown, GA. Viewing will be 3pm - 7pm, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife - Glenda Ray of Quincy, FL; three sons - Reginald Shadrick Ray, Jr. (Sharla), Lance Keeyon Ray, Sr., and Kelvin Jarmon Ray, Sr. (Breonca), all of Quincy, FL; his siblings - Patricia Ann Riley of Brunswick, GA, Tony Ray of Temecula, CA, Zoi Knight of Midway, FL., Denny Ray of Brunswick, GA, and Sheryl Ray of Tampa, FL;13 grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
