Rachel Wooden, 92, of Quincy, FL transitioned from labor to reward Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in Quincy, FL at her home surrounded by love ones. Born and raised in Gadsden County, Rachel was educated in the Gadsden County School District. She confessed Christ at an early age and served faithfully at Mt. Calvary P.B. Church of Quincy, FL. She loved listening to gospel music and spending time with family.
Services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Mt. Calvary Primitive Baptist Church, Quincy, FL with burial at Mt. Calvary P.B. Church cemetery, Quincy, FL. Visitation will be 3pm to 6pm, Friday, August 2, 2024 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory three sons: James Lee Frye of Quincy, FL, Leroy Frye (Eunice) of Clarksville, TN, and Freddie Lee Watson of Quincy, FL; six daughters: Hester Cannon of Quincy, FL , Catherine Charleston (Oscar) of Quincy, FL, Perry Sparkman (Gregory) of Bainbridge, GA, Lula Mae Wooden of Quincy, FL, Emma Lee Byrd of Quincy, FL, and Lisa Chavers (Jeremiah) of Quincy, FL; a step daughter: Shirley Bouie of Bainbridge, GA; 43 grandchildren; 97 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nelly Butler, and a son, Levi Ray.
