Oris Murray, Sr. was born on May 30, 1936 to the late Martha Ann Murray and the late Rollie Murray, Sr. in Chattahoochee, Florida. He departed this walk of life on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in Midway, Florida.
After graduating from Carter Parramore High School, Oris joined the United States Army. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star awards after being wounded in the Vietnam War and retired as a Sergeant. He loved watching television and attending family gatherings. Oris is preceded in death by his parents, Martha Ann and Rollie Murray, Sr.; son, Oris Murray, Jr., sister, Eugenia Murray, brothers, Rollie Murray, Jr., Sims Murray, John C. Murray, Dock Murray; and great-grandchild, Morgan Osborne.
