Ollie Mae Turner, 89, of Gretna, FL, peacefully departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in Tallahassee, FL. Born in Lloyd, FL, Ollie was known for her warm and nurturing spirit. She devoted her life to caring for children, cherishing most of all the joy of raising her own family. A trusted confidant, she was always ready to offer thoughtful advice to friends or anyone in need. Ollie confessed Christ and faithfully served at the Church of Jesus Christ.
A celebration of her life will take place at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ in Quincy, FL, followed by interment at Sunnyvale Cemetery, Quincy, FL. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.
Ollie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her eight children: Mary M. Whitfield of Tallahassee, FL; Sharon Moye of Quincy, FL; Linda Francis (Donald Francis) of Quincy, FL; Cynthia Turner of Gretna, FL; Shirley Thomas of Jacksonville, FL; Gwendolyn Johnson (Gregory) of Tallahassee, FL; Pierre Turner (Natashia) of Quincy, FL; and Ed Turner of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Her life was a testament to love, faith, and service, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
