Minister Willie James Johnson, Sr. was born to the late Pearlie Mae Johnson and O.C. Forester in Cuthbert, Georgia on May 13, 1953.
On Friday, July 9, 2021, God peacefully eased in and whispered "Come on home my child" in Willie's ear.
Willie accepted Christ at an early age at Pine Bloom Missionary Baptist Church, Greensboro, Florida. He served faithfully until his health began to fail.
On November 20, 1981 he married the love of his life, the late Dorothy Ann Johnson, and to this union four children were born.
Willie leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving children, Carolyn (Rondez Barkley) Johnson, Margaret (Alexie) Rittman, Willie (Tameca) Johnson, Jr., and Linda (Tyrone) Jackson; his grandchildren, Dajinae, Sherinice, Aaliyah, Joaquin, Urcari, Ja'Morra, Prince, Christian, Zednora, Alexie, Jordan, Yarquisha, Kashayla, Booker, and Chris; brother, Johnny Johnson, Sr.; sister-in-law, Barbara Foreman; brother-in-laws, Willie Foreman, Jimmie (Claudia) Foreman, and Isaiah Foreman, Jr.; niece, Marilyn Sanders; nephew, Kenneth Sanders; other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Ann Johnson; and sister, Melinese Johnson.
