Melvin Lamar Cox, Sr.

It is with deep sympathy that we announce the death of Melvin Lamar Cox Sr. of Quincy, Florida
who passed on November 26, 2021 in Tallahassee, Florida. He leaves to cherish his life’s memories
a devoted wife Elder Juanita Cox of Quincy, Florida. His children: The late Maranda Cox who
preceded him in death; Katreva Cox of Quincy, Florida; Melvin Cox Jr. (Angel) of Atlanta, Georgia;
Sedric Gibson (Yolanda) of Tallahassee, Florida; and Demetrius Cox of Quincy, Florida. His sisters
and brothers Dora Russ (Richmond) of Jacksonville, Florida; Betty Cox Kenon, Janice Cox, and Ed
Cox Jr. of Quincy, Florida. He leaves to cherish a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives, and friends.

His Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial
at Sunnyvale Cemetery in Quincy, Florida. Visitation will be held on Friday December 10, 2021
from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The celebration of life service and visitation will be both held at Bradwell
Mortuary in Quincy, Florida.
