Mary Henry Smith Was born the youngest of eight children on May 23,1933 to the late Bartow Henry Sr. and Susie Wynn Henry in Quincy FL.
Mary received her education in the Gadsden County public schools, graduating form Carter Paramore High School. She later went on to become a registered nurse, master barber, and received her Master of Divinity from Smith Chapel Bible College.
A career nurse, she retired from the Florida State hospital (Chattahoochee, FL.) touching the lives of many along the way. She enjoyed gardening, traveling the world, and educating herself at every opportunity. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a lifelong member of the Beulah Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served.
She departed this life on Thursday July 10, 2025, in Tallahassee Florida.
Mary was preceded in death by three sisters Daisy H. Smith, Cornelius H. Smith and Helen H. Tobie; three brothers; David Henry, Bartow Henry Jr., and Robert Henry.
She leaves to cherish her legacy her sister, Orenettia Todd of Hialeah, FL.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, to include life long and loving friends.
