Lydia Gonzalez, 69, of Quincy, Florida, peacefully departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Born on May 1, 1956, in Okeechobee, Florida, Lydia was a proud resident of Gadsden County. She received her education through the local school system and was a woman of strong faith. Lydia later retired after years of dedicated work.

Lydia was known for her warm spirit and love for family. She found great joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially during family gatherings. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, listening to music, thrift shopping, and watching movies and documentaries. Her presence brought light and love to those around her.

A devoted mother to eight children, Lydia is lovingly remembered by her children: Esmeralda Martinez, Diana Diaz, Elizabeth Celikis, Jessica Sanford, Moises Diaz, and Michael Renz - all of Quincy, Florida. She is also survived by her siblings: Rogelio Gomez of Tallahassee, FL, Norma Gallegos, Brenda Charles Maldonado, Lisa Charles, Kathy Ruiz, Meliton Ruiz, Jesse Ruiz, Rogelio Jr. Ruiz, all of Dallas, Texas; America Chavez, Ancira Trevino, J.D. Gonzalez, and Cami Garza, all of Alice, Texas.

Lydia’s legacy continues through her 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Jesus Diaz De La Rosa, Jesus Diaz Jr., and baby Moises Diaz.

Services and Visitation
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, Florida. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, Florida.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, Florida.
