Leondra Montez Thompkins, 42, of Quincy, Florida departed this earthly life on Friday, April 22,
2022 at UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He confessed Jesus Christ at an early age at
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, Havana, FL. After graduating from James A. Shanks High
School, he worked at Florida State Hospital for 17 years until he retired in 2017. “Dre” loved
watching movies and talking to people, and always had a BIG SMILE on his face no matter what.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL with burial
at Greenshade Cemetery, Quincy. Viewing will be Friday, May 6, 2022 from 3pm – 7pm at
Bradwell Mortuary.
Dre leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Tumicca Thompkins; daughter, Destiny Thompkins,
Blountstown, FL; parents, Leroy and Lola Thompkins, Quincy, FL; brothers Lamar Thompkins
and La’Donta Thompkins, Quincy, FL; mother-in-law, Lillie Bryant, Marianna, FL; and father-inlaw, Grady Johnson, Marianna, FL.
