Lawrence Jenkins. Sr., 92, of Quincy, Florida transitioned after being summoned by God in His
infinite wisdom from labor to reward Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Capital Regional Medical
Center, Tallahassee, Florida. He was employed by Clark/Clark Munroe Tractor Company for 69
years plus years. At the age of 12, he joined Ebenezer AME Church in the Bradwell Community.
Later, he united with New Bethel AME Church in Quincy where he served faithfully until his death.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Jenkins; his parents,
Catherine Bradwell Byrd and Dewey Kaiser "DK" Jenkins; son, Lawrence Jenkins, Jr.; and brother
Evant Jenkins.
Celebration of Life Services will be 12:00 Noon, December 4, 2021 at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy,
Florida, with burial following at Byrd Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday,
December 3, 2021, at Bradwell Mortuary.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories a loving daughter, Angela Jenkins Burgess; two sons, Irvin
Jenkins (Marilyn) and Curtiss Jenkins; one sister, Archie Mae Carter; one sister-in-law, Earnestine
Jenkins all of Quincy; and 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and
a host of nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
