Mrs. Katie R. Allen was born in Greensboro, Florida on January 1, 1942. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a sweet and loving lady who always had a smile and an encouraging word. Katie enjoyed singing, sewing, and completing crossword puzzles. She was a devoted member of Tabernacle Church of Christ Written in Heaven, Gretna, FL.  After a life well-lived, Katie transitioned from this earthly walk of life on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL. 

Services will be 11:00am , Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Tabernacle Church of Christ Written in Heaven, Gretna, FL with burial at the Church's cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Friday, May 19, 2023 at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL. 

Forever cherishing her memory is her husband, John Allen of Quincy, FL; her children, Joey Allen of Quincy, FL, Donald Allen of Quincy, FL, Faye Allen of Orlando, FL, Kenneth Allen of Quincy, FL, and Roxanne Allen of Quincy, FL; her siblings, Lillie Bell Allen of Crestview, FL, Allen Scott of Ft. Myers, FL, Winston Scott of Bagley, MN, Ronald Scott of St. Paul, MN, and Wayne Scott of Killeen, TX; 13 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
