Joseph "Joe" Gedeon was born on July 6, 1939 in Haiti where he lived until the age of 6 when his parents died. He was then raised in the Bahamas by his grandparents and his godmother - who taught him how to be the man that we all knew and loved.
Joe and his then wife, Jeanine, moved to Miami, Fl where he lived for nearly 45 years. They had two children together, Joe and Gabrielle.
Joe was a carpenter by trade and worked at the Bakehouse Art Complex (BAC) for 40 years. Joe was a very kind soul who never met a stranger. His heart was larger than his personality. He was a wealth of knowledge and didn't mind sharing his knowledge with any one he came in contact with... and would tell you to take from it what you thought would help you. Before your conversation was over, you'd hear the following: "Thank you Jesus; Praise the Lord; Peace and Love.".
Joe took his rest on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Tallahassee, Florida.
Joe's memories will be cherished by: his son, Joe P. Gedeon of Stockbridge, Ga; a daughter, Gabrielle Gedeon of Tallahassee, Fl; a (step) daughter, Victoria Moise of Tallahassee, Fl.; daughters in law, Joaquina Carter and Zula Bennett of Stockbridge, Ga; grandsons, Keeyanu P. Gedeon (Piyanu), Isaiah Balladares, Dorian Wilson - all of Stockbridge, Ga; granddaughter, Isabella R. Roberts (Tipiti) of Tallahassee, FL, Alexis Hardy of Stockbridge, Ga.; great grandson, Kayden Keels of Stockbridge, Ga.; great granddaughter, Xyla Keels of Stockbridge, Ga.; and the mother of his children, Jeanine P. Moise of N. Miami Beach, Fl..
In addition to those listed above, Joe's memories will be cherished by his extended FRAMILY (friends that became family): BAC, Cathy, Troy, George (Captain), Pacheco, Mr. Jimmy, Donna, and many many more.
