Johnnie Lee McElvy, 83, departed this earthly walk of life Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11am, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. John Church of God in Christ, Quincy, FL. Visitation will be 3pm - 6pm Friday, March 1, 2024 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL.
"Johnnie Mac" is survived by his beloved sister, Lenora Beverly Mayo, his friend and brother-in-law, Johnny Smith, and sister-in-law, Mildred McElvy. Also deeply sadden by the loss of "Johnnie Mac" is a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Included as friends, the family would like to recognize and thank his wonderful caretakers (Delores, Virginia, Lynette, and Lois) for their kindness and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, King & Nettie McElvy; his siblings and their spouses: Mabel Wood (Carter), King McElvy, Jr. (Odessa), James "Mack" McElvy, Ruth Mae Jenkins (Leroy), Mary Alice Trotman (Willie), Willie Lee McElvy (Willie Mae), Lucinda Smith and brother-in-law, John Mayo.
