James E. Bryant, Sr., 73, of Quincy, Florida passed away on Wednesday,
September 8, 2021 in Quincy, Florida at home surrounded by his family. Born
August 24, 1948, he was the third of five children born to the late Olyn
Bryant, Sr. And Corine Mayes Bryant. A lifelong resident of Gadsden County,
he was a member of the Carter-Parramore High School Class of 1969. He later
attended the National Railroad Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. James retired
from BASF, formerly Floridin Company and then Englehard Corporation,
after 30 years of service . James attended First Elizabeth Missionary Baptist
Church, Quincy. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September
18, 2021 at Sunnyvale Cemetery in Quincy, FL. Viewing will 3pm to 7pm,
Friday, September 17, 2021 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL.
Surviving family includes his wife for thirty-seven years, Cynthia G. Bryant,
Quincy, FL; sons, James Bryant, II, Torres Bryant, and Robert Bryant, Sr.;
daughter, Shandra Bryant; grand daughters, Jasmine Bryant, Jamiya Bryant,
De’Kyria Hover, and Kandyce Bailey; grandsons, Robert Bryant and Kendre
Davis; great grandchildren, Mi’kkael Wiley and Mi’kayla Wiley; sisters, Cora
Cannon and Carolyn Robinson; brother, Ronald Bryant; mother-in-law, Ora B.
Green; and brothers-in-law Charles Green and Jerome Green.
