Irestine Bell Hollis, 77, of Tallahassee, FL, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, October 20, 2025, in Tallahassee, FL. She was born on November 20, 1947, to the late William and Katie Bell. She was educated in the Gadsden County School District, graduating in 1965 from Carter-Parramore High School. She was employed by the Gadsden County School District as a school bus driver.
She confessed Christ at an early age and served faithfully at Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church, where she was the Chair of the Mother’s Board and a choir leader. She loved to sing and sew, bringing joy to many through her gifts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Deliverance Temple Ministries in Hardaway, FL, with burial at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Gretna, FL. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children – Priscilla D. Bell Knight (Fredrick), Octavia M. Hinson (Darren, Sr.), Eric E. Bell, and Bartholomew E. Hollis (Sophia) – all of Tallahassee, FL; four sisters –Ethel Bell, Lonnie Wheeler, Barbara Baker (Elder James), and Alice Horne (Darrell); a brother – Bobby Baker (Quesha); 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
