Inez Hughes Victor

Mrs. Inez Hughes Victor, 74, of Gretna, Florida, peacefully departed this life on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Gretna, Florida.

Born on November 3, 1951, in Gadsden County, Florida, Inez was a lifelong resident of Gretna and a faithful member of Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She was educated in the local school system and dedicated many years of service working in dietary services and elder care. Her compassionate spirit and commitment to caring for others left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Mrs. Victor enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, and spending time with family and friends. Following her retirement, she continued to devote herself to caring for others, demonstrating the kindness and generosity that defined her life.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Lillie Hughes of Gretna, Florida; her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Jenkins of Tallahassee, Florida, Horace Jenkins of Gretna, Florida, Terry Jenkins of Tallahassee, Florida, Tyrone Jenkins of Tallahassee, Florida, and Diane Castro of Cattahoochee, FL; her brother/nephew, Elijah Pender, Jr. of Chattahoochee, Florida; and her sister/niece, Maryann Castro of Naples, Florida, along with a host of other relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Gretna, Florida. Viewing and visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, Florida. Interment will follow at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Gretna, Florida.
