Ida W. Morris, 69 of Springfield, MA passed away on September 13, 2021, surrounded and comforted by her loving family. She was born in Quincy FL on April 22, 1952, to the late Darly and Bertha (Mc Kray) Salter. Ida graduated from James A. Shanks High School in Quincy FL. She loved cooking and spending time in her garden and taking walks. Ida was a Christian woman who loved gospel music and praising the lord, she was a member of The Christian Cathedral in Springfield. In edition to her parents Ida was predeceased by her two brothers Murray and Floyd Salter. Ida is survived by the love of her life, her husband Joe Morris, her four daughter’s Mary Ann Morris, Lakarsha L. Morris, Lakaysha Y. Morris, and Angel L. Morris all of Springfield. She also leaves her brothers and sisters Homer Salter, Joseph Dupree, Tony Bullock and Annie Dorris and Martha Cleay. Family was paramount in Ida’s life especially when her grandchildren where involved, Malaysia Cruz, Keondra Goldsberry, Jahara Morris, Micheala Goldsberry, and Josiah Morris. Visitation for Ida will be from 10 am to 11 am followed by a service at church at 11 am, on September 29, 2021, at The Christian Cathedral 205 Eastern Ave in Springfield MA 01109.
A local visitation will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 3pm until 7pm at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL. Burial will take place in Quincy, FL at Sunnyvale Cemetery on Sat, Oct 2, 2021 at 10 am.
