George Edgar Richardson, son of the late Alex and Alberta Richardson, was born on January 29, 1934 in Ypsilanti, Michigan and departed this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2021 at home in Rock Bluff, Florida.

George was educated at the public school in Ypsilanti.  Soon after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. In 1955 during shore leave in Boston, George met the love of his life, Alice Beronia Dawson.  They were married a year later in Ypsilanti.

The couple moved back to Boston where they were blessed with two sons, Martin and Michael. They moved from the city to West Bridgewater, Massachusetts to raise the boys on a small family farm.  George worked at Boston Edison Electric Company as a Stationary Engineer for 30 years, putting both sons through college.

After he retired, George and Alice bought some land on Bethel Road in Rock Bluff and built a log cabin.  Martin joined them in 2013 to help make their golden years easier. Alice his bride of 59 years, passed away in April of 2016.

George, Martin and Michael weathered the devastation of Hurricane Michael in the cabin and continued to live there until his passing.

George leaves his sons, Martin and Michael, his daughter-in-law Emili Janchevis; two brothers Willis and Walter Richardson; sister-in-law Vanessa Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
