Eugene Jerome Ward, 74, of Midway, Florida departed this earthly life, Thursday, November 4, 2021
in Tallahassee, FL. Born in Quincy, FL, Eugene graduated from Carter-Parramore High School and
furthered his education at Stillman College. Professionally, he served in the U.S. Army and was later
employed with the U.S. Postal Service. Baseball was a favorite pastime. Services with be 11:00 am,
Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Gadsden County High School, Quincy, with burial at St. John AME
Church Cemetery, Quincy. Viewing will be from 3:00 pm til 7:00 pm, Friday, November 12, 2021
at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy.

Surviving family includes his daughters, Shawn Ward-Matthews, Miami, FL and Kimika Ward,
Midway, FL and sons, Christopher Ward, Havana, FL, Decarious Jenkins, Boynton Beach, FL, and
Kelvin Thurman, Tallahassee, FL.
