Eugene Hightower, Sr.

Eugene Hightower Sr., age 94 of Havana, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in Tallahassee. Service will be 11 AM Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Mt. Ararat P.B. Church in Attapulgus, GA  with burial at the Luke P.B. Church cemetery.  Viewing will be from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Bradwell Mortuary.

Eugene is survived by his children: daughter, Eva Mae Derico, son, Charles Hightower, daughter, Lizzie Hightower-Brundidge (Tommie), daughter, Elizabeth Hightower, son, Richard Hightower, daughter, Rebecca Hightower-Gaines (Craig), all of Havana, Florida; oldest daughter Willie Lee Dorsey and oldest son, Thomas Hightower (Teresa), both of Albany, Georgia.  Eugene is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great and great-great-great grandchildren.  Eugene is further survived by his sister Rebecca Simmons of Albany, Georgia and his sister-in-law, Hazel Randolph.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eillie Hightower, son, Eugene Hightower, Jr., daughter, Airy Hightower and son, Member Hightower.
