Eric Jermaine Demetriouse McGriff, 51, of Quincy, Florida, departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 30, 2026, in Quincy, Florida.
Born and raised in Quincy, Florida, Eric was a lifelong resident of Gadsden County. He was a devoted member of New Direction Christian Center. Eric worked faithfully as a truck driver for over 20 years and was well known throughout the community for his vibrant personality and love for people.
Eric was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and an avid Florida State University fan. He also had a deep passion for motorcycles and music and was widely known as a talented Disc Jockey (DJ). His outgoing spirit, love for entertaining, and ability to bring joy to others made him unforgettable to all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his sons, Eric J. D. McGriff (Derricka “Heaven”) of Hinesville, Georgia and JauWilliam McGriff of Havana, Florida; grandmother, Para Lee Bridges of Quincy, Florida; granddaughter, Essence McGriff of Hinesville, Georgia; aunts, Joyce Bridges and Johnnie P. McMillian, both of Quincy, Florida; brother, Michael Knox of Quincy, Florida; stepbrothers, Sheldon Dilworth, Kasoma Baker, and Nicholas Bradwell, all of Quincy, Florida; childhood friends: D'Juan Harris of South Florida and Marlon Jones of Quincy, Florida; along with a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
