Elder John Allen, 90, of Quincy, Florida, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, April 27, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Born in Baker County, Georgia, John later relocated to Quincy, Florida, where he made his home. He was a devoted member of Tabernacle Church of Christ Written in Heaven, where he faithfully served as a member of the Ministerial Staff and the Male Chorus.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Tabernacle Church of Christ Written in Heaven in Gretna, Florida, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, Florida.
He leaves to cherish his memory five children: Joey W. Allen (Carolyn) of Quincy, Florida; Donald Allen of Quincy, Florida; Faye Lynette Allen of Orlando, Florida; Kenneth Allen of Quincy, Florida; and Roxanne Allen of Tallahassee, Florida; four siblings: Luke Allen, Troyce Ford, and Hilton Allen, all of Quincy, Florida; and Elbert Lee Allen (Lillie Bell) of Crestview, Florida; 13 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
