Dorothy Vickers Ganzy, 72, of Madison, Florida, departed this earthly life on Monday, December 8, 2025, in Madison, Florida.

Born on June 26, 1953, in Greenville, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Madison. She was a faithful member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church, where she loved worship and fellowship with her church family.

Dorothy was educated in the Madison County School System, graduating from Madison High School, and later attended Florida A&M University. She devoted her professional life to the funeral industry, where she served with dignity, compassion, and a heart for helping families during their most difficult moments.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her children: Dr. Carlos Boston of Houston, Texas; Ashley Ganzy of Tallahassee, Florida; and Allyson Ganzy Johnson of Madison, Florida; her grandchildren: Nolan Boston of Houston, Texas, Mckenzie Johnson of Madison, Florida, and Mason Johnson of Madison, Florida; her siblings: Marietta Vickers of Tallahassee, Florida, Harry Vickers of Albany, Georgia, Gary Vickers of Phenix City, Alabama, Andrea Vickers of Aucilla, Florida, Derrick Vickers of Columbus, Georgia, and an adopted brother, Devon Collins of Los Angeles, California; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church, Madison, Florida. Interment will follow at Mt. Mariah Cemetery, Lamont, Florida.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church, Madison, Florida.
