Doris Melinda Hartsfield, 60, of Quincy, FL, transitioned from this earthly life on Monday, December 9, 2024, in Tallahassee, FL. Ms. Hartsfield was a gifted athlete who shone brightly in various sports, including softball, cheerleading, basketball, and dance. Beyond her athleticism, she was a talented crafter and an exceptional cook, bringing joy to those around her through her creativity and skill.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. John Church of God in Christ, Quincy, FL, followed by interment at Sunnyvale Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Antione Bernard Williams of Greensboro, SC, and Demetric Montez Porcher of Bainbridge, GA; her father, Bernard Hartsfield of Orlando, FL; four siblings, Shaen Williams Jones of Orlando, FL, Gayle Benita Baker of Temecula, CA, Bridget Brown Pellman of Tallahassee, FL, and Rod Ricos Brown of Orlando, FL; 12 beloved grandchildren, Alajah Williams, Alijah Williams, and Antoine Williams, Jr., all of Houston, TX, Dawson Williams of Greensboro, SC, Dasha Edwards of Honolulu, HI, Demetric Edwards Jr. of Chattahoochee, FL, Dariyah Edwards, Alana Edwards, Dalis Byrd, Kal-El Porcher, and Deylon Edwards, all of Tallahassee, FL; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
