Dalterius Shorter, 18, of Tallahassee, FL departed this earthly life Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL. Services will be 11:00am Saturday, September 2, 2023 at New Direction Christian Center, Quincy, FL with burial at Greensboro Community Cemetery,  Greensboro, FL. Viewing will be 3pm - 7pm Friday, September 1, 2023 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Kyro Legend Shorter of Tallahassee, FL; his mother, Lakia Monsha Shorter of Tallahassee, FL; his son's mother, Kenasia Penny of Tallahassee, FL; a sister, Keymiria Sailor of Tallahassee, FL; a brother, Shemar Shorter; maternal grandmother, Linda Shorter of Quincy, FL; maternal grandfather, Willie Shorter of Quincy, FL; maternal uncles, Daltonica Shorter, Terrance Shorter, and Quintarius Shorter of Quincy, FL; maternal aunt, Chrissy Shorter-Arnold (Noel) of Atlanta, GA; step-siblings, Natavia Young, Centarrius Young, Natina Young, Isaiah Waymon,and  Iman Waymon of Miami Fl; god-parents, Timothy Marshall of Quincy, FL and Priscilla Mason of MIdway, FL. 

Dalterius "Smokey" Shorter was a very happy go lucky individual. He loved to laugh and thought of himself as the family protector. He was a family oriented person but the irony is if he didn't know you he would barely whisper to you. He was called, the little bitty baby by his Mother. He loved working and "making his own money". He loved to come home settle down and play his game while listening to music with his friends. He loved to try new foods and of course tattoos. He was in awe and instantly felt in love with his Son, Kyro Legend Shorter who was born on August 17, 2023. He was looking forward to raising his son and being there for him as a father should! Smokey, "our little bitty baby", was LOVE and HE WAS LOVED!
