Cleveland E. Kelly, Sr. was born in Dothan, Alabama on October 25, 1945 to the Late Clarence Kelly, Sr. and Sarah Haynes Kelly. Cleveland Kelly, Sr. passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL.
Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Clarence Kelly, Jr. and Ethelean Kelly; his sister, Lettie B. Woodard (Charles Woodard); and his daughter, Tiffany Alissa Kelly.
After graduating from Carter Paramore High School, Mr. Kelly met and married Mary Johanna Moore. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a Medic Specialist in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged and worked at Florida State Hospital following his discharge. "Deck", as he was affectionally called for his dapper and neat sense of style, was a member of Greater Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church in Quincy, FL where he proudly served as an usher.
To his union with Mary , three children were born. Two of whom he leaves to mourn his passing; Cleveland E. Kelly, Jr. (Bernadette) of Tallahassee, FL and Staci Kelly of Odessa, FL. His legacy continues through his grandchildren; Christopher D. Kelly of Dallas, TX, Jasmine H. Kelly of Tampa, FL, Kennedy G. Chisholm of Odessa, FL, and Karsyn G. Chisholm of Odessa, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
