Claudette D. James, 71, of Quincy, FL transitioned from labor to reward Friday, November 3, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL. She was educated in the public schools of Gadsden County, graduating from Carter Parramore High School. She went on to further her studies at Florida A&M University. Claudette confessed Christ at an early age. She was an active member of the Mt. Zion P.B. Church, Quincy, FL until her health declined. She served as the secretary for the Shaw Quarter Community Action committee and loved reading, knitting, cooking, and bowling. She never met a soul that she wouldn't take care of - she was a mother to all.
Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Quincy, FL, with burial at Sunnyvale Cemetery, Quincy, FL. Visitation will be 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons - Nicholas T. Bryant (Keisha) and Brandon T. Bryant (Ashley), both of Midway, FL; five grandchildren - Amara T. Bryant, De'Eric Butler, Jasemine Lee, Brandon Bryant. Jr., and Jillani Queen Bryant; six sisters - Juanita Williams of Quincy, FL, Jeanette James of Quincy, FL, Kathleen James of Quincy, FL, Venita James of Atlanta, GA, Vanessa James of Quincy, FL, and Lottie James of Quincy, FL; and a host of other family and friends.
