Obituary

Cassie B. George, age 71, was born in Quincy, Florida to the late Handy and Hattie George on July 22, 1951. He was educated in the Gadsden County School District – graduating from high school in 1969 where he was a member of Future Farmers of America. Shortly thereafter, Cassie B. enrolled in Albany State University on a football scholarship before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in the Army as a Paratrooper, discharging honorably after having received a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. After leaving the military, Cassie B. worked as a Contractor in Waste Management and a Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Handy and Hattie George and brothers Handy George Jr. and Clarence George. Cassie B. leaves to cherish his loving memory children Carlos George (Rytchele), Etoyi George (Chevonne), Kenyetta George, Monica Peters, Shala Smith, and Marcus George; brothers Johnny George (Jean), James George, J.D. George (Merle); sisters Mary Taylor, Lillie George, Shirley Galloway, Hattie Frances Wilson (Seste), Regina Harris (James); 7 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
