Carolyn Dilworth Cooper

Mrs. Carolyn Dilworth Cooper, 73, of Quincy, Florida, departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Mrs. Cooper was born on May 13, 1953, in Gadsden County, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of Quincy and was educated in the Gadsden County School System. She was a faithful member of New Direction Christian Center and was employed for many years with Florida State Hospital, where she served as a Behavioral Program Specialist Supervisor. Known for her warm spirit and dedication to her work, Carolyn touched the lives of many through her service and compassion.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a special interest in browsing the internet and staying connected with others. Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children, Lindsey Victoria Cooper of Quincy, FL, Roosevelt William Cooper of Midway, FL, and Marsha Celene Cooper of Quincy, Florida; six sisters: Bettye Dilworth, Phyllis Dilworth, Clara Dilworth, and Fannie Mae Holmes, all of Quincy, Florida; Vickie Dilworth of North Carolina; two brothers: John W. Dilworth and Carl R. Dilworth - both of Quincy, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ann Dilworth-Bradwell; and a brother Amos H. Dilworth.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at New Direction Christian Center in Quincy, Florida. Interment will follow at Sunnyvale Cemetery, Quincy, Florida. Viewing and visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, Florida.
