Brenda Brooks Brown departed this life on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at home. Brenda was the eighth child of Paul and Hardie Mae Brooks; she was born January 10, 1956, in Pelham, Georgia, grew up in Gadsden County, and was educated at Gadsden Public Schools. Brenda lovingly spoke her mind. A helpful loving, thoughtful mother and wife she gave her all every day of her life. In her early life she was a helpful person, always teaching even at an early age being a teacher assistant at Springfield Elementary. She worked at DBA as an audio technician making language tapes for the government. Her most enjoyable job was operations manager at Walgreens where she made many lifetime friendships along the way.
Brenda was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in St.Cloud under the direct teachings of Pastor Harold Stallworth. Prior to that attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Kissimmee,FL.
Brenda’s greatest achievements are her family. Everyone who knew Brenda knows she cherished time with her family. If she wasn’t hosting a family gathering, family reunion, singing, or teaching someone a nugget about life. Christmas carols on Christmas Eve. Brenda leaves to remember her husband of 51 years L.C. Brown, 3 children Cheryl Ham and Joel Ham, L.C. Brown Jr., and Brenda Alisha Brown. Grandchildren Shekinah Diaz, Jada "Jada Bae", Faith Brown, Shareese Ham, Xavier Brown, Symone Ham, Anthony "AJ", Hope Brown, Ajani "Momma Nu", and Great- Grandchild Rhumora Washington. Sisters Bernice and Claude Donaldson Grenta, FL and, Leon Johnson and Ossie Mae Crawford Valdosta ,GA , Jessie and Sherry Marshall Quincy, Brothers Paul Brooks Jr(Quincy), Donell Brooks. And a entire host of ,sister in laws,brother -in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends,
Brenda Brooks Brown was preceded in death by her grandchildren- Christian and Caily Brown, three brothers- Ike, Roger, and Calvin Brooks; and six sisters-Lillie Mae Smith, Lavon Brooks Hill, Emma “Hattie Mae” Donaldson, Catherine”Cat” Carter, Eula” Toot” Acree.
