Bonita Williams, 71, of Havana, FL, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Tallahassee, FL. A lifelong resident of Havana, Bonita was educated in the Gadsden County School System, graduating from Northside High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Mayflower AME Church. Bonita dedicated her career to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant and found joy in cooking and gardening.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Mayflower AME Church in the Jamieson Community of Havana, FL, with interment following at Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery in Havana. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.
Bonita leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Derrick Williams (Cassandra) of Havana, FL, and Kenya Williams (Sheneka) of Tallahassee, FL; nine siblings, Lester Williams (Eva) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Marshall Williams, William Chukes (Belinda), Anna Chukes, Ephriam Chukes, James Chukes, Bernard Chukes, Cassandra Chukes, and Terrilyn Chukes, all of Havana, FL; four grandchildren, Derrick Williams Jr. and Deandra Williams of Havana, FL, and Demetrius Jackson and Kennidi Williams of Tallahassee, FL; three great-grandchildren, Sariaah Williams of Raleigh, NC, Skylar Williams of Havana, FL, and Da’Cedric Williams of Havana, FL; as well as a host of beloved relatives and friends.
Bonita's legacy of love, care, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
