Bessie Stevens Glover was born in Quincy, Florida on September 6, 1933, the second of two children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and dedicated employee. Her greatest joy was cooking and keeping a meticulous home. Her pride was her child, grandchildren, and the all the children she helped to raise. Bessie enjoyed fishing, shopping, and spending hours on hours laughing and enjoying her old friends and family. Bessie was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Quincy, FL. After a life well-lived, Bessie departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at home in Quincy surrounded by her family.
Forever cherishing her memory is her daughter, Belinda Robinson, Tallahassee, FL; granddaughters, Carvardis Dixon and Dana Dixon Broer (Wesley); grandson, Oronde Dixon; great grandchildren Zanton Jackson, ZaChara Jackson, Zamarion Barnes, Zyan Vernon, Zaknovia Wright, Chave` Smith, Chasen Smith, De’Jhari Dixon, De’Kauri Dixon; 6 great great grandchildren; nieces, Christine Jackson Davis (Billy),Vallejo, CA and LaDonna Shelton-Taggart (Jeffery), Atlanta, GA; nephew, Christopher Davis (Natalia), Atlanta, GA; devoted employers, the Mason, Lines, and Higdon families; and long-time best friend, Ollie Mae Sheffield.
