He loved playing the piano and bass and was described as quiet, peaceful, humble, hardworking, and family-oriented.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Quincy, FL, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Quincy, FL. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Marcela Flores-Simon of Quincy, FL; four children, Karina Cantero, Azucena Cantero, Liliana Cantero, and Carlos Cantero—all of Quincy, FL; his mother, Irene Santos-Hernandez of Hidalgo, MX; four sisters, Alfonsa Cantero-Santos of Hidalgo, MX, Manuela Cantero-Santos of Hidalgo, MX, Antonia Cantero-Santos of Fountain, FL, and Lucia Cantero-Santos of Hidalgo, MX; two brothers, Alfonso Cantero-Santos and Pedro Cantero-Santos—both of Greensboro, FL; two grandsons, Rosario Lugo, Jr. and Alvaro Lugo of Quincy, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
