Barbara Joyce McNealy was born in Quincy, Florida on December 3,
1964 to the late Dorothy Mae Boyd “Mama Dot” and Jimmie
McNealy.
She was educated in the public schools of Gadsden County and a
member of the James A. Shanks High Class of 1983. She accepted
Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. On
Monday, December 6, 2021 Joyce surrendered to the Will of God and
peacefully went home to receive her eternal reward.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy Mae Boyd and Jimmie McNealy,
grandmother Bessie Mae McSwain, and great grandmother Emma Lou Baker.
She leaves her memories to be cherished by her siblings, Curtis McNealy (Linda) of Ocala,
Florida, James McNealy (Eleanor), Johnny McNealy (Katina), John McNealy, Kathryn
McNealy, Jeff McNealy (Kim), Victor Boyd (Katina), and Robert McNealy all of Quincy,
Florida; grandfather, Nathaniel McSwain; uncles, Clenzie Boyd (Alice), Earl Boyd (Tonya) of
Quincy, Florida and Garon Boyd (Beth) of Maryland; aunts, Patricia Thompson of Quincy,
Florida, Charlene Boyd Holston of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mildred Davis of Nashville,
Tennessee; godsister, Regina Ware; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
