Ashanti Lewis, 18, of Quincy, FL departed this earthly life on Friday, August 26,
2022 in Quincy, FL. "Shanti" was educated in the Gadsden County Public Schools.
She graduated in 2021 from Gadsden County High School. She confessed Christ at
an early age and was an active member at the Blessed Hope M.B. Church of
Quincy, FL where she sang in the church choir. Professionally, Ashanti worked as
an officer at the Gadsden Correctional Facility.
Ashanti was a people person who loved caring for children and cared for all those
around her. She leaves to cherish her memories; her mother, Shreia McCall of
Quincy, FL; her fathers, Ragust McMillon of Quincy, FL and Demetric Betsey of
Quincy, FL; sisters, Jakerriaya Lewis of Tallahassee, FL, D’emeteria Betsey and
Ke’Zyriah Kenon both of Quincy, FL; brother, Kerontrez Kenon of Quincy, FL;
maternal grandparents, Dexter and Cynthia Kenon of Quincy, FL; paternal
grandmother, Pamela Murphy of Quincy, FL; paternal grandfather, Dexter McCall
Sr. of Quincy, FL and Charles McMillon of Chattahoochee, FL; great-
grandparents, Earnestine House, Isaac and Lillie McCall all of Quincy, FL; and
god parents, Ron & Takiya Kenon and Maurice & Quartez Howard all of Quincy,
Fl. In addition, she leaves a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss
her presence.
