Antonio Lamar “Pete” Murphy, Sr., 53, of Quincy, FL, departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Tallahassee, FL. A native of Gadsden County, Antonio was educated in Gadsden County Public Schools and will forever be remembered for his mechanic skills.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Carter Parramore Academy in Quincy, FL, with burial following at 2nd Elizabeth M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, FL.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Antonio L. Murphy, Jr. of Quincy, FL; his loving mother, Laura Dell Butler of Quincy, FL; his father, Marvin Murphy (Betty) of Quincy, FL; six brothers, Rodney E. Murphy, DeCarlo M. Murphy, Kenneth O. Murphy, and La’Monte Marshall – all of Quincy, FL, Collin Brown of Tallahassee, FL, and Marcus Jessie of Texas; four sisters, Linda D. Murphy, Amanda Murphy, and Shalanda Murphy – all of Quincy, FL, and Lisa Addison of Texas; two grandchildren, Makynzie Murphy and Jayden Murphy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
