Amie Marie Knight, 62 of Havana, Fl, departed this earthly life on April 2, 2022 in Tallahassee, Fl. Amie is a graduate of the Havana High School Class of 1977 and later Florida A&M University Class of 1981. She loved reading and singing. Family and friends would describe her strong-willed, friendly, and outgoing. Amie was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and would often watch western movies. Beyond her favorite pasttimes, Amie was an active member at the Richbay AME Church of Havana, Florida. She would serve in any capacity that she could. In addition, she participated in the Interdenominational Choir and even served with the FAMU Alumni group. The family will receive friends at Bradwell Mortuary on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 3pm until 7pm. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11am at the Havana Magnet School (Havana, Fl) with interment at the St. Matthews Church Cemetery (Quincy, Fl).
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a son, Blane J. Battles (Quincy, Fl); a daughter, Ericka C. Battles (Atlanta, Ga); bonus children, Treyvohn Knight and Lyric Knight (Tallahassee, Fl); her mother, Annie Pearl Knight (Havana, Fl); sister, Brenda D. Cooper (Vacaville, Ca); brother, Charlie L. Knight (Tallahassee, Fl); a fur baby, Ashley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
