Altonyer Deandre James, 58, of Quincy, Florida, departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Quincy, Florida.
Altonyer was born on January 23, 1967 and was a lifelong resident of Quincy, Florida. He received his education in the Gadsden County Public School System and was a proud graduate of Greensboro High School. A man with a gentle and humble spirit, Altonyer faced life’s challenges with quiet strength. He was a member of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, where he found fellowship, faith, and community.
Altonyer will be remembered for his kind nature, his perseverance, and the love he shared with those who were blessed to know him. His memory will continue to live in the hearts of his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Shelly Ann McClain James of Quincy, Florida, and his loving brother, Patrick James (Tequilla) of Tallahassee, Florida; his sister, Anissa D. James of Atlanta, Georgia; nieces, Ariele O. Branson and Makayla Prewitt of Quincy, Florida and Alona N. James of Tallahassee, Florida.
He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other loving relatives and friends who will continue to honor his life and legacy. He is preceded in death by his father: Enoch A. James and brother: Ferdinand L. James.
