Aldolphus Ceasar McGriff was born March 23, 1958 in Havana, FL. He was raised by his mother and step-father; Gennie McGriff-Belford and Ralph Belford, Sr.
Aldolphus attended Gadsden County Public Schools and graduated from Havana Northside High School Class of 1976. Aldolphus enlisted into the US Army in October, 1976 on a delay entry program. He served in the military from January 18, 1977 until January 16, 1988 with the honorable discharge. He was a SP4, an indirect fire infantrymen for three years and seven months, a fire support specialist for nine months, and an expert in use of M-16s. His duty assignments also included basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina and AIT school in Fort Benning, Georgia. He was assigned a tour of duty in Europe and was later stationed in Germany. After his assignment in Germany, he returned to the states to an assignment in Fort Lewis, Washington, where he met his ex-wife, Mildred M. Johnson, they married and started a family.
They later moved to Chicago, Illinois - where they resided for many years. Aldophus moved back to his hometown until the day God called him home on July 7, 2023.
