Alberto Arriaga Jr, affectionately called “Don Beto”, was born January 27, 1942 to the late Alberto
and Virginia Arriaga in San Antonio, Texas. Alberto was a wonderful father to 19 children; he
devoted his life to them and was the family patriarch. Alberto was truly loved and respected by so
many friends for his willingness to always help, his wisdom, his great advice, and his great style!
Alberto worked in agriculture most of his life but started his own Trucking Company before retiring
and enjoying his free time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great
grandchildren. Alberto was a hardworking man and a great provider for his family.
Alberto received Christ at an early age and was Baptized in the Catholic Church in 1943.Alberto was
a member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Quincy, Florida for over 40 years.
After a short battle with cancer, Alberto transitioned into Heaven on October 30, 2021 at his home,
where he always told his family he wanted to spend his final days. Precious memories will be
cherished by his wife of eight years, Teresa Arriaga, his daughters, Martha Arellano (Crisanto),
Elizabeth Arriaga (Anthony), Aurora Cardenas, Sylvia San Miguel (Richard), Rosa Tovar (Blas),
Frances Arriaga, Maria Hartley, sons Eduardo Arriaga (Laura), Alberto Arriaga ill (Michelle),
Richard Arriaga (Grace), Robert Arriaga, Ramiro Arriaga, Pedro Arriaga (Lynda), and Albert
Arriaga, honorary sons Desiderio Martinez, Eduardo Torres, Juan Torres and Jose Torres. He was
preceded in death by his son Enrique (Martha) and his daughter Cindy (Donnie), three children who
passed at a very early age and an honorary brother and lifetime friend, Ezequel "Conejo" Campos.
Alberto also leaves, as part of his legacy, 40 grandchildren, Emily, Eduardo Jr., Mariah, Adrianna,
Crisanto Jr., Brittany, Robert Jr., Alejando, Carolynn, Marie, Billy, Robert, Melissa, Michael,
Richard, Jennifer, Ryan-Lisa, Stephanie, Ricardo III,Tony, Alberto IV, Isaac, Angel, Ileana, Richard
Jr., Ryan, Bryan, Brandon, Michael, Natalie, Nylah, Blas, Pedro Jr., Liddo, Joseph, Alyssa, Noel,
Joel, Luis and Erica, as well as a host of great grandkids and great-great grandkids.
Alberto’s final resting place will be next to his late wife, Martha Arriaga at San Fernando Cemetery
II, San Antonio, TX. A viewing will be at Funeraria de Angel Trevino Funeral Home and a
Memorial Service at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church both in San Antonio TX.
